The Series XVII "Revolutionary War Collection" was introduced in January 1999 and retired in December, 2003. This series was a Limited Edition Boxed Set and only 6,000 were available. The Revolutionary War gave birth to a new nation when 13 British colonies won their freedom and became the independent United States of America. The War began on April 19th, 1775, with the Battle of Bunker Hill, and ended after eight years of battle asnd bloodshed when the British surrendered at Yorktown. Britain recognized the new republic in the Treaty of Paris, formally ending the Revolutionary War. The nine pieces are:Buckman Tavern of Lexington, Massachusetts, Thompson-Neely House at Washington Crossing, Pennsylvania, John Neilson House at Saratoga, Newyork, Tennent Church at Monmouth, New Jersey, Ford Mansion at Morristown, New Jersey. Also the Powder Magazine in Charleston, South Carolina,Moore House in Yorktown, Virginia and Washington's Flag. Washington's Flag is part of the limited edition boxed set only and is Not Sold Separately.
