The Pirates' House - 1754, Savannah, Georgia. First a tavern, then a museum, the Pirates' House, now a restaurant is located on Trustees' Garden, the first public agricultural expiramental garden in America. There are many fascinating rooms, among these is the Captain's room. It is here said that the ghost of the Pirates' House presence has been felt. 'Tis said he's the spirit of Cap'n Flint, from the Robert Lewis Stevenson book "Treasure Island". Old Cap'n Flint , who originally buried the notorious treasure on Treasure Island, died in this very room. Rumors also tell of an underground passage. It was said to be a haven for smugglers. Drugged, unconscious men were shangheid here and awoke to find themselves on outbound sailing vessels.
