The Shivering Timbers wooden roller coaster at Michigan Adventure is designed specifically for creating stomach-grabbing drops and lightning-fast speeds. The coaster has 5,384 linear feet of track and riders can expect speeds to reach as much as 65 miles per hour. The outward portion of the track has four major hills, a 125-foot first drop, followed by drops of 100, 80, and 50 feet, then a fast , swooping turn-around.
