"Father Flanagan's Home", the third in a series of four. Item # 8-3 was introduced in January 1998 and retired in December, 1998. This beautiful house in Boys Town, Nebraska was home for Boys Town's founder Father Flanagan, from 1927 through 1941. The house was used in the making of the 1938 Academy Award-winning motion picture, "Boys Town." In 1986, the 100th anniversary of Father Flanagan's birth, the house was designated as a National Historic Landmark by the United States Department of the Interior. The back side of this piece holds the "Father Flanagan" 4 cent stamp.
