The "Corbin-Norton House" is located in Oak Bluffs, Massachusetts. This home was originally built on this site in 1891 by Phillip Corbin and was almost identical to this grand Queen Anne styly Victorian. Corbin operated a company that specialized in builders hardware and locks. He furnished his home with the finest of products and attention to detail. The house had fallen into disrepair when Peter Norton purchased it in the early 1990's. Mr. Norton delved into painstakinging research to rebuild the home to its original design and grandeur. In February of 2001, a faulty wire started a devastating blaze that burned the renovated home to the ground. In his decision to rebuild, Mr. Norton began constructing the exact replica of the house he had finished renovating only a few years earlier. Today, the Corbin-Norton House is the private residence of Mr. Norton and a jewel among the grand architecture of Oak Bluffs.
