Series XV, The "Civil War Collection", was introduced in January, 1997 and retired in December, 2002. These limited edition boxed sets were limited to 10,000 sets. The history appears on the back of each piece. From the first shots fired at Fort Sumter in 1861, to the final clashes on the road to Appomattox in 1864, the Civil War was the most violent and fateful experience in American history. The issue of slavery divided the North and South. The pieces to the "Civil War Collection" include Fort Sumter in Charleston, South Carolina, Stone House in Manassas, Virginia, Dunker Church, Sharpsburg, Maryland, Chatham at Fredericksburg, Virginia. Also Shirley House in Vicksburg, Mississippi, Wills House, Gettysburg Pennsylvania, the Appomattox Manor in City Point, Virginia, the McLean House at Appomattox, Virginia and the Battle of Shiloh, in Pittsburg Landing, Tennessee.This set is a must for the "Civil War Collector".
